Terms of Service

1. Service Description (Informational Only)

AutoCheckView provides on-site photo documentation and visual observations of accessible/observable areas of a vehicle at the time of the visit for informational purposes only. The service is not a state inspection, not a mechanical diagnosis, not a safety inspection, not an appraisal or valuation, and not a buy/don’t-buy recommendation.

2. No Repairs, No Disassembly, No Guarantees

We do not perform repairs, maintenance, disassembly, or invasive testing. Access depends on seller permission and safety conditions. Limitations are noted in the report. No warranties are provided, expressed or implied.

3. OBD-II / VIN History Add-ons

OBD-II (if included) is a code readout only and does not determine root cause. VIN history PDFs are informational when provided and are not interpreted as purchase advice.

4. Customer Responsibilities
  • Confirm seller availability and permission for vehicle access.
  • Provide accurate address and scheduling information.
  • You remain solely responsible for all purchase decisions and outcomes.
5. Pricing & Travel

Package and add-on prices are shown at booking. Travel is billed one-way from Raleigh, NC using the published tiered mileage rates (first miles free, then per-mile tiers). Return travel is not billed separately. The mapped address distance at booking controls the travel fee charged.

6. Cancellations / Rescheduling / Sold Vehicles
  • If the vehicle sells or the seller refuses access before we begin the visit, contact us promptly — you should not be charged for documentation that could not be performed.
  • Rescheduling may be required due to weather, safety, seller availability, or technician coverage.
  • Once a documenter has been dispatched or the visit has started, the full documentation fee applies.
  • Email info@autocheckview.com to cancel or transfer your order to another vehicle when possible.
7. Liability Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AutoCheckView is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or economic losses arising from the service or any vehicle purchase decision. Total liability related to a visit is limited to the amount paid for that visit.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, United States.
